Or are they being dishonest with their "phony soldiers" spin?

Diane M (below) Funny, I read the UNEDITED transcript too AND listened to the UNEDITED audio clip.

Rush definately was addressing any soldier that disagreed as "phony soldiers".

Rush said what he said! I not only saw he said, I heard him say it. Now it is a political trick to brain to brain wash people into believing that they didn't hear what they heard. There was also a paper transcript of every word he said. He did indeed say "phony soldiers." in reference to the returning solders who would dare to disagree with this war. Keep watching FOX news and they will help brain wash you.Fox News will help brainwash you into believing what ever the government wants you to believe.

I sincerely doubt Limbaugh being able to use anything which involves a "mind".

"Media Matters isn't a credible source". And why not? And if not, who is, in your opinion? Because they don't agree with you and make Limbaugh out as the hypocrite he truly is? Media Matters isn't credible because they actually have the COMPLETE UNEDITTED audio file of exactly what Limbaugh said? Not "out of context" cribbing and editting, it's all right there, with no breaks, no cuts, no EDITTING. Of course for those neo con spin interns who can't handle uneditted truth, the editted version Limbaugh tried to pass off to his audience as the "complete transcript" two days after his vile comments is ALSO available there?

The lack of credibilty rests on those who claim Limbaugh referred to ONE individual as a plurality of "phony soldiers" (and the fact is, Jesse MacBeth, even though discharged after 44 days, has 44 MORE DAYS OF MILITARY EXPERIENCE THAN RUSH DOES), when this individual's name was not mentioned by RL or his caller for at least another 95 seconds. The lack of credibility COMES fromclaims of being "taken out of context" but being unable (or unwilling) to provide credible sources to support such absurd claims. Listen to Rush's own words condemn him. If you are still unconvinced, I would be able to understand how Bush could be elected twice.

whilst each and every person is in the standard public eye and greater importantly, make a occupation out of being opininated, there is going to be some backlash to issues that they've stated. this is executed on purpose, it is not a "Neo-Con" or a "Liberal" component, this is executed with the reason to get people to be conscious. whilst people be conscious, they'll watch on television or pay attention on Radio (whether or not they agree or not) and that interprets into greater gross revenues by way of promoting. Celebrities do it each and every of the time. this is promoting. No exposure is undesirable exposure. till you're O.J. Simpson.

The truly amazing thing about Limbaugh is that he will look you in the eye and lie. We heard the same tape and he clearly implied that any service person who disagreed with the war was a 'phony soldier'. Like as a draft dodging junkie he should know.

He's a wizard with the word, glib and smart. But that all together and you get a liar who can get millions to believe white is black, up is down and his brand of the truth is correct. Hitler had the same skill.

I would say that is possible except that gives him too much credit. Jedis rock. I think it has something to do with the low IQs of the weak-minded being easily manipulated and their prejudices being easily motivated.

No. He just provided the transcripts. Its freaking obvious the context and what he is saying. There is no spin necessary. Rush knows exactly what he meant. He meant exactly what he said. The left props up phoney soldiers, ie people who pretend to be soldiers to attack the war, as their heroes and now the left is getting upset over getting caught and trying to attack Limbaugh and silence him.

If Limbaugh is as evil and wrong as you guys seem to think wouldnt it be easy to find something to legitimately attack him on? The fact that the left is trying to make such a big deal on Rush attacking phoney soldiers demonstrates the moral bankrupcy of your position.

If Rush is such a stupid liar, how do you yet consider him smart enough to use a Jedi mind trick? You're a walking contradiction, and you're so desperate to discredit the guy that you can't even see what an idiot you have made yourself out to be. I feel sorry for you.

Limbaugh was critical of a basic training drop out who claimed to be an Army Ranger.

You're way off base here, Chi Guy.

Perhaps his millions of listeners may have been doing just that -- listening to his show.

His transcripts are available publicly and I have provided you with them in other questions.
