It could be either or both. I have know many that so thirst for knowledge that the future prospects of finding suitable work are unimportant. While many spend their time checking alternative employment opportunities whenever selecting majors and classes. I can hardly imagine going through college without that thirst is some subjects, but the need for suitable employment after graduation was always a consideration.

education is for securing a job. u r educated to earn a living.
