public transport, (trains, trams & busses) are loose from 3pm on New Years Eve, and proceed to be that way till around i think of five or 6 am on New Years Day. Have an excellent new Years.

beware of delay. serious issue in melbourne!

"Transportation" was the sentence given to many early settlers in Australia by British courts. The word still means that here. Use "transport" instead.
