I use these two initials to introduce 1 or 2 examples, but I also use 'em interchangeably, which is perhaps improper. I know that these two, um, terms do have differences. So could u please N4m me what those two mean? U don't have 2 explain what they stand 4; I think they're originally Latin. & uh, I'd like 2 no some examples in using "i.e." & "e.g." properly.

In an attempt to sound more formal, writers tend to use i.e. or e.g. when giving examples. Although these Latin abbreviations can sound a bit lofty, it is still perfectly fine to use them, as long as you are using the correct one. There is a difference between them; they cannot be used interchangeably.
