Don't say it in words.
Men don't relate to words.
They relate to body contact. or visual contact.
If he doesn't respond when you flash him, he has a medical problem, or maybe a psychiatric problem like depression.
When you're depressed, the whole idea of doing anything seems to be too much trouble.
Take him to the doc if he doesn't respond to stimuli.

That is a very nice way of saying what you want, and I'd sure fall for it. I don't think a many can hear those sweet words too often, no variation needed.

You could be a bit more romantic and seductive than that. But if he doesn't get your meaning after asking him directly, you might want start asking a different question. Like, "Honey, are you gay?" or "Don't you love me anymore?"
