Appalachian St. over Michigan for sure, in the next couple years Stanford-USC will be a forgotten game, but in 10-15 years they will still be talking about that historic upset Appalachian St. put on Michigan. App. State totally changed the way Div. 1aa is looked at, they even had the rankings system changed, and probably the way coaches in a big school prepare for a 1aa team. Stanford beating USC is just an upset, a big one for sure, but it wont rewrite history.

To be politically correct, Stanford was a 41 point under dog while Appalachian St. was a 32 point under dog. Appalachian St. is actually pretty good team in their division while Stanford is one of the worst teams in the Pac-10. USC loss to Stanford should not have happened. Satistically the USC loss to Stanford was a bigger upset. Regardless though, people will not acknowledge that because USC is the "best team in the land"

I'd have to say Appalachian St. over Michigan. Both Stanford and USC are 1-A teams. Appalacihian St. is a 2-A team. and Michigan is a 1-A team.

Appalachian State hands down by far was the biggest up in history of college football. Stanford has plenty of talent it recruits at the division 1 level where as Appalachian State is division 2 school and gets nowhere near the talent that Stanford gets as well as a coach like Jim Harbaugh who's played in the NFL and has abilities that some coaches in division 2 never experience and that is playing and being a decent player in the league for a certain amount of years. Stanfords win was impressive but no where near the biggest upset in history.

The previous biggest point spread overcome was a 38 pt. deficit in 1985.
Appalachian State has an undergrad enrollment of more than 13,000 students. They've got a bigger student population than Notre Dame. It's not some tiny school.
The Mountaineers won back-to-back NCAA Division 1-AA national football championships in 2005 and 2006 The unofficial spread in that game was in the mid 20s.

Well as of right now its Stanford over USC.

But the weekend after the App. State upset over Michigan occured, that was more of an upset.

Both of these games didn't surprise me much. App. State is like a college team playing against high school players in Divsion II (sub-divsion wtfever)

I'd pick the Stanford upset as a bigger one though

lol Appalacian St. is in Boone, North Carolina..I think the bigger upset is Stanford over USC because USC is a pretty good team and I don't think Michigan was good enough to be #5 when the season started when they lost to App St. anyway

It's still to early to tell. On talent alone, I give the edge to OSU. I count 4 locks to be first round picks(Laurenitis, Jenkins, Boone and Wells) and a couple other potential first rounders(Robiski, both DE's, and maybe one of the safeties.) There isn't a guy on the field that doesn't have the potential to be an NFL player, with maybe the exeption of TE. If Boeckman plays well, I think the bucks win. If he doesn't, then I think USC takes it. The game could also turn on one key turnover.

I hate Michigan more than I hate USC, so I'll take the Michigan game.
