ok look it up on wikipedia but theres this new invention called the Rapex, its this condom worn by the women, that has all these little hooks on the inside of it, so if a man trys to rape them they get thousands of tiny barbs that have to be surgicly removed. I personality think its a tiny bit paranoid that for a women to take such percations. Like, "crap, i just got raped, cant believe i forgot the Rapex" right, but also kinda a good idea. Opinions, good invention, bad invention?

That is a really neat idea and women wouldn't be "forced" to do anything. If a man has the audacity to attempt to rape a woman he'll get what he deserves so I don't wanna hear anything about it being cruel or unfair to men. But I don't know if this would save her life as in when the man is in pain he may become violent and kill the woman anyway. Makes me wonder if rape really could be prevented or if once the RapeX became common knowledge would rapists merely figure out a way around it? Oh and also wearing this thing for long amounts of time, could it possibly be harmful? I mean it would certainly reduce airflow and could open you up to infection.

Well I guess it could be a good idea for women that always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time....

It's just that there's so many ways to prevent it from happening in the first place. I'm not saying that when it happens its the womans fault...it's just that there's always precautions a woman can take...I guess if a crazy morbid condom if what you feel is right, then go for it.

*Added Note* I've never been in that predicament before, but I wonder if almost being raped and actually being raped are any more or less traumatic? Like, a woman is walking down the alley, doesn't have a Rapex on and is raped and left. Another woman is walking down an alley, has a Rapex condom on, is pretty much still raped just has the satisfaction of knowing buddy is in pain and will most likely be caught. Does that make her experience any less traumatic for her? Somehow I doubt it...so really, is it helping?

Hate to tell you this but those things have been around forever, Used in ancient times by women captured by the enemy. Only instead of non lethal barbs they had razor sharp blades.

Amazons captured by the Greeks in the Trojan wars used them on their captors. Of the lethal variety.

Known in Vietnam as the Ho Chi Minh rubber or V.C. rubber. Also of the lethal variety.

It's a good idea, teach those men a lesson, but women have to wear it everyday? That is bad yo, like when do they know when they'll get raped?

THE CONDOM WAS INVENTED BY A FEMALE IN SOUTH AFRICA TO PREVENT AND PROTECT WOMAN FROM BEING RAPED OR SEXUALLY ATTACKED. CAN PROTECT WOMEN AND YOUNG GIRLS FROM HIV OR OTHER STDS THE MAY ENCOUNTER WHEN ATTACKED. DUE TO THE HIGH MORTALITY RATE OF HIV IN AFRICA AND THE IDEA THAT WOMEN ARE 3RD CLASS CITIZENS, IT MAY SAVE THOUSANDS OF LIVES AND PROSECUTE THE MEN WHO COMMIT THIS VICIOUS CRIME. IT CAN ONLY BE REMOVED BY A PHYSICIAN AND HE THEN REPORTS THE CRIME.

Hon, what prevents the woman from getting caught up in her own contraption? Ex: What goes up must come down.

I'd rather use my own natural weapon - my heat-seeking kneecap to his most vulnerable part - his balls !!
