1) Living things need to take in energy
2) Living things get rid of waste
3) Living things grow and develop
4) Living things respond to their environment
5) Living things reproduce and pass their traits onto their offspring
6) Over time, living things evolve (change slowly) in response to their environment
This is the scientific definition of being alive. Does a baby in the mom's stomach meet these requirements?

It is funny to me that they always talk about choice but not responsibility. The woman had a choice not to have sex, she had a choice to use protection, she had a choice to wait until she was married. They want it both ways they want the choice but not the consequence. It is a very selfish way of thinking and the best that they can come up with is "well the man doesn't have to carry the baby for nine months." Yeah you would be pregnant for nine months but the baby is dead for ever.

All we know is that a process starts with conception that results in the birth of a child usually about 9 months later. However, many people are born in less time than than (prematurely).
So, somewhere along that time line, the fertilized egg or zygote becomes a human. When? I don't know. No one knows. So, the best course of action is to err on the side of safety and assume life begins at conception. That is the only way to be sure not to kill a human.

In a perfect World it would be nice to give life to every baby conceived. Unfortunately we live in a careless society and no matter how much we spend on preventatives, people will have sex and get pregnant. In this case, I would rather not see children born only to have to live through abuse. So I say give the woman the choice. Let her deal with her decisions and her soul.

I will answer this question by saying I believe abortion is wrong, in almost any situation. I consider it murder because I think life starts at conception, or at least what will BE a baby starts at conception, and by terminating that process you are in effect terminating life.
that being said I would never support a law banning abortion, because for one people are going to do it whether it is legal or illegal, and for all legal purposes the child IS in fact the property of the parent until the age of 18, whatever that may mean.....either way I think its curious teh same people who talk so much garbage about abortion, turn right around and dont see anything wrong with sending grown men and women to their deaths in a war.....as if the message is "save the baby's life, so one day it can die for our government"...silly....may as well just abort it for all thats worth.

With the amount of children suffering on earth, do we really need to bring others if they are not wanted?
So that they end up with social services, foster homes and bad treatments???
Do u really think that's what a baby is expecting when being born?
If the mother wants to abort, let her. Or else its the child that'll pay.

Only God can determine if a fertilized embryo is a life or not. And even if it was a life, it is not an independent life. Our society disconnects, kills, ppl from life support machines by the 1000s on a daily because because their lives are dependent.
