Yes, and I still do not like to. In fact, my children want to take theirs off as soon as they get home. My daughter was upset that she had to wear them all day when she started school. Your point is? I hope this i not a hillbilly joke.

No, I'm always barefoot, 24/7 for the past ten years and I was usually barefoot or sockfooted indoors & in the back yard all my life, but my parents had their shoes glued on, mostly closed shoes too... they'd even wear slippers in the yard, on the beach and poolside. They didn't tell me I couldn't go barefoot; it wasn't a fear of injury or disease, just personal preference. They allowed me mine -going barefoot in public never came up, I never even got the idea until much later in life, but any place I wanted to go barefoot, or any time I wanted to wear flipflops and sandals it was fine with them... but they liked their shoes always and ever.
