Yes. No doubt about this at all.
Though we have world class cricketers, but politics is always associated with Indian cricket
In India, before world cup(50 overs, won by AUS) there was pooja & Havans as if these r required to WIN.
After the world cup loss, players were threatened and insulted.
Similar things was performed before 20-20 WC,fortunately IND won it. So,players were respected as if they r freedom fighters & private news channels covered it too much than required. Why IND Vs PAK match is given too much importance in IND & PAK.
Foreign coach needed. Why ? Its to prevent politics.
BCCI selection committee, ICL controversy and what not ?
India cricket is all about Religion & Politics. Even PAK cricket is like ours. In fact, earlier PAK was part of India. Then WHY NOT ? Hope this answers your question from all Viewpoints.

surelycricket had become politics only. the guys who have the potential of playing cricket are not allowed to enter into the cricket team .the people who are recommended by the politicians are only allowed to enter into the cricket team.moreover the senior players play a major role in choosing the players.this condition or this type of selection must be changed so that the youth can enter into our cricket team

Its become both. Religion for the game's passionate followers, and politics for the game's administrators.
