Men should have children the traditional way, by convincing a woman to carry his child, not coercing her. You have probably heard of the technique, it gos " to love honor and cherish etc." After all a rapists also has a part in creating a child, do you think he also has rights?
Biology is responsible for the double standard by not making men capable of giving birth, not pro choice people, Our whole economic system is based on the premise that people are not only pretty selfish but very selfish. Perhaps when society decides to share the wealth equally, women will be willing to be unselfish with their bodies, but don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen.

That all depends if the woman has no want or need for the child and dosn't care if the man is going to help she is going to do what she wants thats when i think the man should talk to her nicley and say let me adopt the kid you have my baby i will abopt it and then that should help her mind out.
But in most cases the mother of the child will do what she wants cause she is carrying the child for 9/10 months and the man dosn't have to worry about the body mood and all the other low self estem isues. So please if this is you and your girl is wanting to do this talk to her in a very nice calm matter. Cause if its in her head she wants to before you say anything thats they way its going to be so do not yell or call her names talk to her in peace love her and tell her you really want this kid and you will help in anyway that you can no matter what.
I agree that it is selfish but you have to give the woman a break. I can't say that its right or wrong cause its what they belive is best for them and the child.
1 question would you rather the child be born in a hatefull home put in foster care until he/she is 18 and never have a life or just never be born and be in heaven happy safe and secure from the world.
Don't think of me as a bad person i would never abort i did miscarry one time and was pissed that they told me i had an abortion not knowing thats the dr. term for miscarried. But if i know some one that is not every and never will be right to have kids i might say yes.
Thank you for letting me talk
have a great day

The father's responsibility begins at conception, which is why the law necessitates financial obligations to help support that child, even if the father chooses not to take an active role in any other regard.
However, due to simple (and I would have thought obvious) biological factors, since the mother physically brings a child to term, it is she who has final, legal rights to terminate the pregnancy.
Then again, when one considers that even mainstream religions are against the use of contraceptives to avoid unwanted pregnancies in the first place, one can see how most arguments against abortion are mired in irrationality and general ignorance.

Actually....I am pro choice and yet I still totally agree with what you're saying. I believe that man should have some more rights when it comes to the baby before they are born. As of now a man has pretty much none....to me that's not right.
I mean, yes, it's the womans' body and if men could carry children then it WOULD be their choice...I mean, should a woman be forced to carry and birth a child simply because the man says so? No...so where do you draw the line?
I guess I am completly biased and can't really give you a straight answer. I am female and want to say that you're wrong because in the long run it's our bodies, not yours and you really shouldn't get a say...but at the same time my one brother went through this issue with his ex because she wanted to abort (she didn't tho) and my other brother now is having the exact opposite problem. He wanted the chick to abort but she refused to and now he has to give her child support and be a father to a kid he never even wanted.
None of it is right or seems fair.
When you figure out the right answer please let me know for future refrence.

I myself am pro choice, not pro death.
I believe a woman is entitled to a choice but not unnecessarily. (For instance abusing the system using abortion as a form contraception, believe me some women do!)
I believe that after one abortion a person should learn from that experience and take whatever means possible to avoid the situation from reoccurring.
You must understand that no one should be prevented from having a choice about THEIR body, I can see where your argument is coming from and respect your feelings.
Unless you are female you will never truly understand pregnancy and how it can affect a woman's body and the ties between a mother and child.
Having an abortion is a very hard decision to make and should not be taken lightly. Whoever the woman your talking about is, she needs support right now not an argument.
Are you really that selfish to think that she wants to kill her own baby? Pretty selfish really!

Is abortion the hot topic tonight or what. Any who, I stand by my belief that woman have the right to chose. Let's be logical here, most women who are in healthy relationships DONT have abortions. Statistically, unwed young women between the ages of 15-21 have a higher percentage of abortion rates. In most cases, women who are sexually permisuous, raped, unwed, and under the age of 21 have abortions. I can answer your question if you have an opened mind. A man can NEVER experience what it's like to bare a child. People think having an abortion is an easy decision. It's not. If the woman had previous plans to have an abortion and doesn't go through with it because the father wants the child, that can be tragic for her. Look, a woman bares a child for 9 months and becomes attached to the child. They may not be emotionally and financially equipped to have kids. While growing up that kid will feel that subconscious rejection because truthfully the mother never wanted him or her. I know this may sound silly, but I know and talked to women who dealt with this same situation. Men will never understand childbearing.

The obvious flaw in our current abortion laws that grant full control to the mother yet grant the father no control at all and at the same time can force the father to pay for the support of the child if the mother decides not to have an abortion is just one clue as to why, abortion acts against all reason.
Another inconsistency is that a person who murders a pregnant woman can be charged with two murders, yet an abortionist is allowed to kill the unborn child with impunity.
None of these issues can ever be reconciled. Why? Because abortion is an evil practice and no amount of legal wrangling can change that fact. That results in further unreasonable law.
The more such inconsistencies result, the more evidence that the original law that permitted abortion was fatally flawed. It is an immoral law.

Most of the reasoning behind the right to abortion has to do with the right to control one's own body. The question of taking responsibility for the welfare of the child is only a tangential consideration. Because the man cannot physically carry the child to term, his rights are not the same as the rights of the mother.
If you've already concluded that anyone who answers your question in the negative is "pretty selfish," then you are not asking a question, you're preaching.

No.
It is not about the fertilized embryo. A woman has a constitutional right, per the Supreme Court already, of privacy over what happens to her body.

No, the woman is the one whos pregnant and has to carry the baby for nine months and go through the pain of child birth, so it should be her decission. Although I do think its a shame that she doesn't want to have it if she knows theres going to be someone who wants to take care of it and give it the love it needs. This is a real hard decision to make I'm kind of two sided on this one.
