Yest there is still hope and the probability is 100% that your Computer will work again. Sometimes, I have had the Blue Screen coming up due to RAM and in your case Hard Disk.

In the first place, if you first boot your system and there is some Hexdeciaml numbers that changes everytime you boot and the blue screen comes on... Then the problem is most likely your RAM. You can try removing the RAM, if you have more than one, remove one at a time and reboot your system to see if any of the RAM is having problem. If you have only one on the board, look for another to exchange it with. This may solve your problem

If the Hexdecimal is the same and the Hard Disk you installed is your Booting one, then you may have to do a fresh reinstallation of your Operating System but this time I will advise that you use the CDs that came originally with the system.

Oh yeah! Usually the BSOD can be resolved just by rebooting the computer. It's worth a shot! It depends on the problem, of course. You might want to get a person who can appropriately diagnose the problem. Dell service center comes to mind.

Take out the extra harddrive, reboot the computer. Might have to do a System Restore from SafeMode, or restore from your Restore disk.

the best way to resolve this is to install a fresh copy of windows. dell and most other computer manufactures put programs and bios that make it very hard to put any hardware not bought from them almost impossible. the best way to get rid of there bloat is a clean install of windows. just make sure you Download drivers for your network adapter first.

if this doesnt do it... then you have to format the drive... be sure to backup the files on the safe mode.... if it cant... then you have to put the harddrive on other computer....
