You could use a screen saver that comes on soon after you stop using the computer. Then make the screen saver require a password to stop and let the computer run programs again. That uses features already built into the operating system.

Try CTRL + ALT + DELETE at the same time. A block will come up asking you whether you want to lock computer. When you come back to your PC you just type in your password.

Well simply make only one account for your self and protect it with a password from the "account manager" in the control panel, then when you log off or shut down the computer no one can enter without the password.

Use CTRL+ALT+DELETE. This will lock your computer and you will need a password to get back in. Everything will still be running as you left it.

for windows 2000 or windows2003 , you can use "alt + ctrl + del", for windowsXP with beautiful login window, use "windows key + L"

go to the top of your page and click on the tools button, should be top right, click on 'new window' and it should give you a brand new page. happy clicking.:)
