Who cares about aliens? If they exist, so what...... it doesn't matter, we won't find them, and don't need to.

Just look at this little red light. ****** What were you saying?

Seriously, I was answering a young person's question about the extinction of the dinosaurs earlier, and that answer included something that might be of interest here:

"It's an interesting idea to think, if such a collision did occur with a large extraterrestrial body (and even geological evidence seems to point that this was the case), that the PROBABILITY of such an event happening is really tiny -- infinitely small. Of course we know that history has never seen such an event since then at least on the catastrophic scale we are talking about.

The point is, that given the theory of evolution, it could well be that in order for life to evolve as it has on earth -- including the rise to dominance of "Homo Sapiens", or men -- it's REQUIRED that a large something-or-other from outer space hit the earth at just the right time so that the dinosaurs, which had risen to the peak of their power through evolution would be eliminated, and the relatively new and weak species of little mammals that were to "become" men after millions and millions of years -- could thrive.

If that's the case -- and it seems likely it is, it is probable that if intelligent life evolved and does exist on other planets far away in the reaches of space, it is almost a certainty that it will look nothing like us people at all!"

In my opinion there is no possible way that we are the only living things in this universe. I mean think about it. Earth is in the Milky Way. The Milky Way is a tiny smudge in the universe, and we haven't even seen all of the Milky Way.

I also believe that the government has found UFOs, and possibly aliens themselves. What about Area 51? I think Area 51 is where they keep everything they find... and they keep it a secret well. I mean, who keeps a secret better than the government? They can do whatever they want. They just don't want people to know about it because society would start freaking out.

I mean, after seeing movies like "Signs" and "War of the Worlds", wouldn't you think that there would be mass mayhem if people found out for certain that there were aliens?

Another theory is that aliens are here. That they are on Earth, but they look like humans. I suppose that they could make themselves look like humans... or there could just be a human race out on another planet, that is more intelligent and advanced then us, and have found their way too us.

Hmm... I'm not sure whether people's experiences are fiction or illusion. I'm sure that there are plenty of people that make a crap load of stuff about aliens up. But I'm positive that out of the six billion or so people on Earth, some of them have actually seen things that aren't of this world.

These types of things belong to a group called paranormal phenomena. This group includes such things as UFO's, aliens, ghosts, spirit channeling, automatic writing, telepathy, out-of-body or near death experiences, and ESP.

These are things which some persons claim to see or hear which cannot be proven by scientific method testing.

What we are left with with paranormal phenomena is no evidence. We are left only to belief or not believe in the statements of other people.

Whether it is fact or fiction, real or illusion, is for you as an individual to decide.

Is there any scientific evidence that UFO's or aliens exist? No.

Yahooanswers has a category for Paranormal Phenomena under the Alternative section of Science and Mathematics. Astronomy does not deal with such matters other than the fact that no life forms have yet been found on any other planets or moons outside of Earth (except for perhaps bacteria).

Ufo's are exactly what their name implies. "Unidentified Flying Objects." They are something that are seen in the air, but have not been identified. They could be an aircraft, a weather balloon, some sort of weird weather phenomina, or an alien spacecraft from another Galaxy. But the key word to remember is -unidentified-. Until somebody positively identifies one as an alien spacecraft (and has their identification indendently verified) they remain just that, Unidentified.
As for all of the books and stories....... Who knows? People will say and do and write and believe some very strange things when they want to.

My take on this subject is this, It would be pretty vain of us as a species to think that we are the only intelligent life forms in this entire universe. I also think it is pretty vain to think we are the most advanced life form in the universe considering how long we have been in existance, in comparison to how long the universe has been in existance. So to finally answer your question at hand, I beleive that there are extraterrestrials that visit our planet, maybe on a different plain of existance, or another dimension that we as a species are to closed minded to experience yet. Maybe just maybe the "aliens" have shape shifting skills that allows them to blend in with the humans so they can observe us anonymously... So, what do you think?? Alien can mean unfamiliar as well as foreign, so look outside the box, let you mind wander and see how far down the rabbit hole you will let your mind go.... Check out the film called, " what the bleep do we know" and tell me if that film doesn't open your mind to limitless possibilities....

im happy somebody asked a question like this because of the fact these days ive began to have faith they exist from seeing unusual lighting fixtures interior the sky. i'm liking your concept on the pyramids i went there this easter and that i think of the two are linked in case you look up Illuminati on you tube it shows photographs of pyramids and an eye fixed on the best. I heard somewere that the goverment know approximately extraterrestrial beings and that the extraterrestrial beings have a lot of treatments to our deseases like maximum cancers and stuff yet they wont settle for it because of the fact of outdoors germs and the undeniable fact that in the event that they circled and stated hello every person we've some information extraterrestrial beings are genuine sorry to conceal that from you and oh yeah there became no want for a number of those human beings to die we've had the treatment all alongside. i think of the illuminati are linked to extraterrestrial beings in some form of way in case you didnt know the illuminati are a secret society that "controll the international" aparently they predicted the twin towers going on via sending messages by using television shows like the simpsons and on dollar costs you will discover the towers being hit.

I think society would be pretty ignorant to think that we're the only higher intelligence in the entire universe.
Now as far as UFO sighting and government conspiracies, I'm not so sure
But no, I don't think we're alone, not at all. I'm guessing somewhere out there...there's something that is way above us (not talking about GOD or anything) watching and just waiting or us to figure things out.

i think there's life on other planets. If there's life on earth, it's possible that there are aliens out there. the universe is a vast world, it's endless.
