i hve this boat cruise coming up....basically a semiformal dance on a boat that floats around the bay. andi don't know what to wear. i have the pants and the shoes, it's just i don't know what kind of shirt. it's semi formal, but i don't wanna wear a button down shirtt, becuase it gets really hot while dancing, any ideas?

You could always go classic and do a polo.
But there's really no reason not to go putton down. There are plenty of stylish ways to wear a button down. Try this: a white button up. Unbutton the top two buttons and roll up the sleeves right under your elbows. A nice neclace or chain will accent it perfectly. A button up is definately the default for a semi. And it's giong to be cooler than any plain tee, especially because it's white. and don't forget to tuck it in.
You'll be the casanova of the party.

Semi-formal means a button down shirt, and tie, and jacket.
When you get hot, just roll up the tie [ no wrinkles ] and unbutton top two buttons of shirt.
Match shoes, socks, and belt to pants.
Match tie to jacket, pants, shirt, or combo of two of them.

get a light weight short sleeve shirt from aeropostale!

wear something made of light and flowy fabric that doesnt cling to your sides and you should be fine.
