If you purchase a video card, make sure your computer is either AGP or PCI, or both.

I use ATI TV Wonder to capture live tv to my computer. Excellent video card, full screen DVD quality viewing, and many other features.

You can also watch TV programs online, from all over the world, provided link.

Hope this helps, have fun !

Okay I am assuming you only want to watch free to air television on your PC:

You will need to purchase a TV Tuner card, such as the Leadtek DV-1000T. In Australia, they cost around $50.

This will enable your computer to receive television signals, and display them on the screen. The packaged software with the tuner card should also enable you to record the TV to a file on your computer or DVD (provided you have a DVD burner)

You will need to purchase a video card that has the TV input and software to allow you to view the video coming in from the tv or cable box.

My son used a All-In-Wonder Pro. video card years ago, I'm not sure if they still make them or not, but I'm sure you can google it.

Good Luck

go to www.mwave.com and look for a tuner card.

I got the sabrent $25 tv card which has good enough quality but its only decodes with software instead of hardware decoding.
