I have been making home made candles for a while, and have seen people using candles for magic tricks where they just lick there fingers, touch the wick, and it lights.

what do I need to treat the wick with to make it do this and where do I get it or how do I make it.

I would guess it is done in the same way as the joke birthday candles that won't blowout but keep relighting.
The obvious but tricky answer is phosphorous which ignites when exposed to water as I recall. Sodium is even trickier and does the same thing.
esearch 'self lighting candles' here is one
