I would love to work from home over the computer, but I don't know what companies to trust, and what I could do, they all ask for a credit card number and I don't have one. Does anyone know how i can make money from home??

Jobs pay you. You do not pay them. Any company asking you for a credit card number in order to work for them is a scam.

Is there something you could do for your former employer that you could do from home?
Be very careful of the "jobs" you find or hear about on the Internet - they are almost all scams that ask you to pay a fee to "join" - their business is collecting fees, not providing paid work. If they ask for an up-front fee or a credit card number, that's your clue that they are a scam. Real jobs pay YOU, you don't pay THEM.
