The worldwide places in Europe with the optimal conventional of residing in the worldwide have socialist democratic structures of government ... think of Finland, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Denmark to call in basic terms some. they have spectacular public education structures and their scholars carry out nicely above American scholars in literacy, technological know-how and numeracy, they have valuable commonly happening healthcare and social centers for all their electorate and that they make contributions to the wellbeing of others previous their borders. this is actual that their taxes are bigger than those in the U. S. the place our electorate must be dragged kicking and screaming to pay a fragment of what they pay. they have as many very own freedoms as we do yet lots much less angst. they don't look to be afraid of the observe 'socialism' like individuals who concern that this is the subsequent step in the direction of communism, fascism, nazism, terrorism, muslimism, satanism or the different 'ism' they have not even seen yet! however i don't think of we ought to continually positioned all our blame on the media for our lack of wisdom and the dumbing down of united statesa.. The fault lies greater on our declining standards of education because of the fact the Reagan years whilst it grew to become into desperate to spend much less tax money on coaching our little ones ... so regrettably, i'm afraid we are actually caught in a real capture 22 difficulty! (Oh i can already sense the 'thumbs down' coming from my insensed countrymen who do not see the would desire to alter the staus quo and who're morbidly terrified our new president is ideal us all in the direction of eternal damnation in a socialist hell!)

According to some, the US government does nothing right and only gets in the way.

Imagine the country without:
OSHA
FAA
FBI
NOAA
State Troopers
and more.

US agencies do a masterful job. It is the political leaders that pile on law after law because they don't enforce the previous one.

Of course not. The redistribution of income is socialist. And giving the lazy breeder class a free ride is socialism. You need to go back to school. Oh wait, you probably had a public school education and that explains your lack of knowledge and reason.

no. conservatives believe that there are in fact legitimate functions of government and that they include matters of interstate transportation. here is the test; if you can do it yourself (like feeding yourself or housing yourself or providing your own healthcare) that is your business. if you cannot (like defending your self against foreign enemies or coordinating interstate transportation) that is the governments business.
simple huh?
