It's all about what you are looking for in an artist as far as their message and such. With Nas its more political, more angry. Sort of a repressed anger channeled into rap, that moves the public towards a more unified stance against the corruption of governmental power.
With Jay-Z it about the rhymes, pure talent, not much politics involved.
Again, neither is better or worse, both very talented in their own scope, just depends what you are trying to get out of them.

According to EVERYONE and this is REAL, the beef was won by NAS.
and to tell you the truth.
I AGREE, nas has the best flow, best raps, and it actually makes since.
listen to him, and hear what he says on his songs, to name a few.

i also like Jay-Z but really, nas won.

Nas has a way better rhyme scheme than jay z
so i like Nas better

nas is the best! jay was hot but turned commercial during his career. nas on the other hand, rapped as though he was still hngery. he spits nothin but the truth so have some respect for ya man. ya dig

The battle was a tie.
I like both of them equally but Nas was 1st so I guess Nas is better.

Its a tie, but Nas wins because I count there battle as a tiebreaker, and Nas won there battle.

i'm not a fan of neither one of them but i would pick nas anyday because i like his style better than jay-z's
