You'll only look like that if u wear loads of make up and it's all the wrong colouring.
I wud suggest that u make sure u know wot suits u and keep it to a minimum.
Make sure you take it all off a night and with a good remover and cotton pads that wont irrate ur skin and then rinse ur face wiv water incase u havnt got everything off-pat dry, rubbing will irrate the skin and create dryness.
Moisturise after removing or 10mins before u start to apply make up.
All these shud help keep ur skin in good condition and prevent u looking older- and u will properly apply less make up if u skin is in good condition! Hope this helps.

Avoid using cheap quality makeup. That doesn't mean you have to use expensive makeup, just get some makeup that doesn't have too many harsh chemicals in it. I recommend mineral makeup, kind of like Bare Escentuals or you can also get them from Covergirl.
Never sleep with makeup, no matter how good quality it is.
Don't use makeup removers, just use warm water and maybe a face wash.
Drink lots of water.
Wait as long as you can till you start wearing makeup. I don't know how old you are, but if you're under 16, don't wear foundation. You don't even need it till you're in you're late 20's, that's when the aging starts.
Avoid the foundation as much as possible. Mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipgloss are fine, just avoid packing on the foundation and concealer.

wearing make-up doesn't damage your skin. If it makes you look uglier, you are putting it in the wrong way/too much. If you wear foundation, try to buy one that's with a SPF 15 so it gives you extra protection. Make-up is to enhance your look and sometimes makes you look older depends on your age. If you are a teenager putting a lot of makeup will look older on you, but for older women it'll look younger on them.

Some cosmetics may contain chemicals not good for our skin.So it's important and a must to cleanse your face thoroughly after applying make-up.And bear in mind --never ever let your make-up stay on your face over night.

1] buy and use non comedogenic [ doesn't cause zits ]makeup.
2] remove all makeup before bed every night, clean and moisturize face.
3] apply with clean hands, brushes, puffs, etc.
I use a bit more makeup than my sisters, but I also take better care of my face. I use sunscreen, and I moisturize.I am the oldest, and have the best skin.

If you have allergies, use only hypoallergenic cosmetics. Also, wash it all off at night and apply a night cream. If makeup makes you look older, then you should try for a more natural look, using colors more like your natural coloring.

Use only moderate amounts and WASH thoroughly every night. Use cleansing creams. Pat dry. Never leave make-up on over night, and NEVER over use. This is one case where less is more!
