Wood's days as a starter are over. Prior's may very well be also.

Zambrano cannot carry the team himself. He's due to have an average year.

I don't know what they'll do to be honest with you.

Zambrano, Lilly, and Hill are definitely starters next season, with Marquis and Marshall probably rounding out the rotation. Wood's days as a starter are over; he's coming out of the bullpen from now on, and either he or Carlos Marmol could be the closer if the Cubs don't keep Dempster.

Prior will be given one last chance to start again. If he's healthy, he'll be the #3 or #4 starter. If he's not, or ineffective, he'll be in the bullpen or playing elsewhere.

Depending on who the new Cubs' owner is, they could make a free agent signing as well.

Zambrano obviously, Lilly, Marquis, Hill, and Guzman/Traschel? most likely. Woods starting days are over and he is only in the bullpen. Prior's days as a starter are over too bullpen for him.

Wood will get hurt again, Prior is still hurt, Zambrano will be too fat over the offseason from that contract to pitch and Lilly has to visit China to recover his glove that he slammed through the turf after he gave up that homerun in Phoenix the other night.

I dont think the Cubs rotation was really that bad in this series, however they will be making some changes to shore up weaknesses which was clearly evident at times .

Prior is done.
Wood might make a come back. But consider him a set up man.
