IDK...it's too early in the season to say that. I am a HUGE Buckeye fan, but I am also in touch w/ reality.
The only reason the Bucks are ranked so high at this point is because of the misfortune of others; not because the strength of their schedule nor the quality of their play. Granted, they've been solid, but they also have not had a major challenge to date.
Yes, it is possible that they might be number one when it's all said and done....yes, it's possible that they might be at the championship game at the end of the year. But rest assured - if they are in that position at the end of the year - they would have actually earned the ranking.

The Bucks will be fine, Tressel is back in his comfort zone of having a good defense and a punter and a kicker that he can trust. They just don't rattle when these things are in place, I love it when these middle of the road Big Ten teams are supposedly putting it all together (Purdue,Michigan,Wisconsin, Iowa last year) only to have Ohio State listen to all of that noise and do what they have to do to put together a workmanlike win. Play D, Punt, Control the ball, the ball control was what was missing last year.

yeah Ohio St. will beat LSU or USC just like they did in Jan. against Florida!!!......oh wait, that never happened

only way Ohio St. wins the BCS title is if they play a Big East or Big 12 team

There is one problem with that theory however...
If Ohio State is top of the rankings that means they have to win Saturday November 17th.
That day could be the Big Ten title game. Buckeyes lose to Michigan, bye bye number 1.
Sure Michigan had a poor start. But I sure wouldn't want to be a buckeye fan when Ohio State enters the Big House. Good Luck.
GO BLUE!

Yeah they've been overlooked this year. Last year the in the championship game the team didn't even show up because they played the real championship game the week before when they played Michigan. They will get a title shot again this year and Jim Tressel will be ready.

Carolina, first off... new team, new year.... I'm not one for being a sore loser, especially when Florida deserved to win that game but common', look at OSU play... they look like a top ranked team. I'm not sure if I'm going to jinx it yet especially since we have Penn State and now Illinois but right now, I think we deserve to be ranked #2.

Nice going, less than a half dozen misspellings and grammar mistakes in your two line question. Very atypical of your genre.

No, the team that destroyed and embarrassed Ohio St. last year, FLORIDA, well they're about to lose to LSU, which would embarrass Ohio St. They will lose to Michigan anyway.
