That is pure bull ****
How about Lynndie English abuse?
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba?
Blackwater?
Abu Ghraib prison, Iraq
The different is the abuse doesn't take place on US soil.

I can't believe him if he does not outline what defines "hard interrogation practices." It is ridiculous to think that a terrorist or anyone can magically find a way to beat a interrogation technique just because he would know what that technique is.

Disclose the methods of our interrogation techniques... its that simple. If he does not then I am afraid that he is sanctioning torture. I truly believe that he is allowing this to happen... he is by sending prisoners to nations that allow torture so why wouldn't he allow the CIA and military intelligence to torture? Disclose the information and maybe I will think otherwise.

He lied then attempted to rationalize it by saying he would do anything necessary to protect American lives. He excused his lie by wrapping himself in a cloak of patriotism and is despicable for this lie. We are not our enemy and are better than them. He told the world the US does not torture and was caught lying about it. He continues to shred US credibility in the world at an astonishing rate with all he does.

Just as the word "terrorist" is in the eye of the beholder, so is the word "torture."

I guess we'll have to send Cheney to Syria for a "torture" session to see what his label would be...

Words fail to convey how despicable Bush has been on this issue, and how he has trampled the reputation of the United States.

Same GWB that claimed Iraq had WMD? Same GWB who claimed Iraq was behind 9-11? Same GWB who pledged to help New Orleans?

okay - i really don't get how people(other responders) can say this is another lie from Bush . . . you would have actually had to be present during an authorized torture session to know this . . it seems that "he's a liar" is just a shallow answer for everything.

to your question . . I have no proof that the US has tortured and quite frankly, I think sometimes we should.
