No. I know the NFC has been bad in years, but think about it, aside from the Patriots, Colts, and Steelers, who else is in the AFC? The NFC has just as many contendors as the AFc if you take a look at the standings:
NFC:
#1 Green Bay 4-0
#2 Dallas 4-0
#3 Seattle 3-1
#4 Tampa Bay 3-1
#5 Detroit 3-1
#6 Washington 2-1
AFC:
#1 New England 4-0
#2 Indianapolis 4-0
#3 Pittsburgh 3-1
#4 Denver 2-2
#5 Tennessee 2-1
#6 Cleveland 2-2
So the NFC is not as weak as people claim it to be anymore. It'll be very tough for the Saints to make the playoffs but again its still early in the season and if they get on a very hot streak, they have a chance, but it'll take ALOT of determination and a little bit of luck for them to make it.

Albeit early in the season and with an 0-4 record, the storm skies are darkening over the Saints camp--but don't hasten to count them out just yet. There's just so many games yet to play--and just so many losses that have yet to be---before a clearer picture can be drawn.
The Saints game against the Panthers was a slow improvement over their last game--but the machine needs some fine tuning big time in the areas of offensive defense of Brees and reception handling of the ball. Expect Peyton to focus on those areas. The Saints defense lines aren't all that bad--but a bit of polish won't hurt them either.
But it isn't just the players--Sean Peyton needs a reality check too. Notice last year, he played EVERYBODY--giving some long time benchwarmers a chance to shine--and many did just that. So far, I see Peyton has fallen well into "the safe forumla" style of coaching, something he feels is tried and true.
And I cast a heavy brow of suspicion that the Benson Administration also meddles into football business in sensitive areas that are risky in this political game of free agent matters.
Fans expect the same Saints as last year---and that simply isn't going to happen. We can hope the Saints get their act together and fast. If they win every game from here on out, the playoff outlook sharply improves.

Yes they do. The NFC has a conference in which teams could make it at 7-9 (though I doubt that will happen this year).
Right now, the wildcard leaders are 3-1, 2-1, 2-2, 2-2
At 0-3, the Saints have a legit shot at making it.

I'm going to have to say no on this one. I'll explain why. Saints defense is tired. The offense spends way to much time off the field and the defense spends why to much time on the field. Deuce McAllister being out is your Achilles tendon. Deuce was your power back and with out Deuce Bush is going to struggle a bit this year. Other than Colston who does Bree's have to throw too? Pretty much nobody. His offense line can't fend off rushers long enough for him to get a good look at the field and wait for his receivers to get into position given the routes. Unless Bush proves us all wrong New Orleans is in for a long season.

yes because the nfc south is really iffy. the bucs arent that great. the panthers look very average. and the falcons just plain suck. if the saints win all their division games, they should be in the race for the nfc south title
