I don't like Clemens because I think he's been pampered his whole Yankee career..........I can't remember when he's pitched more than 6 innings and so many times he's been relieved before he can be the losing pitcher of record........That's always bothered me........Can he stop the sweep???...........Yes, I believe he can but if he gets in trouble will they pull him again to keep him from getting the loss???......This time, because it is life and death I don't think so but it's been done so many times before I'm left questioning it.................CAT

The only way the Yankees have a shot at this game is if one of these happens.

A)The Yankees clobber Westbrook and the Indians bullpen. Clemens pitches solid enough to get the win.

B)Clemens goes 7 innings holding the Indians to 3 runs or less. Westbrook gives up 4+ runs and Joba-Rivera come in to finish the job.

He may not have had the same story but read the article closely. "Sources told Quinn that Pettitte was not a good witness when he appeared before congressional lawyers during a sworn deposition on Monday. Pettitte often contradicted himself, the sources said, so the committee agreed to his request not to appear before the committee." That makes it sound as though his testimony is not very caluable because he can not make his on story jive with itself. Clemens may be lying but so is everyone else in this, they are all putting their own spin on it to make themselves look as less of a bad guy in comparison to others on this issue. I would not be surprised if something comes down later but tomorrow is a little too soon for anything real to happen.

it depends on which Roger Clemens shows up. I had him on my fantasy team and was so excited to get him started on my active roster and then - big disappointment. He can be very hittable. If Cleveland hits him early the Yankees will have to go to their bullpen and Cleveland has already shown that they can dent the bullpen - especially if they packed away some gnats to bring out in Yankee Stadium.

Given is past performance in the playoffs there is certainly a chance that he'll pitch a good game tomorrow and the Yankees could win. However, I don't see New York taking the series at this point. If they somehow manage to push it to game five, they'll have C.C. Sabathia waiting for them at the end of that tunnel, and I can't see that going well.
