Absolutely.... It is imperative that one remains aloof of the corn stalks that can easily overwhelm you.... To be a free thinker in these days takes a special courage.... to think the unthinkable, do the unpopular and write what can be ridiculed by the received status quo...
I am glad to count myself amongst the triers within the Freethinking fraternity.

no one thinks each and every thing could be unfastened. i comprehend countless Democrats that throughout the time of all threat made extra advantageous than you ever will and that they in many cases vote Democrat because of the fact they are extra sensable and a minimum of they don't stand only for gun possession which seems why maximum of vote Republican. Politicians and Pundits prefer to construct the voter bases up into those complicated, distinctive issues. unquestionably, it is totally hassle-free. i might prefer to function that i don't recommendations if people very own weapons. If all of us is so loopy that weapons exchange right into a great situation, it is going to easily velocity up our superb death. That stated, i don't prefer there to be countless unlawful weapons obtainable for people to rob with or do force bys and kill harmless people, or all of us for that rely. weapons is confusing, is what i'm saying. even nevertheless, to base your vote on this is only gruesome.

It is the nature of politics to pick a side and argue against the other. It is also the nature of politics to argue privately within the party circle.
Anyone who can view party politics today and not see all the factions within each party is not paying attention.
Sort of throws water on your theory.
ADDED: So you're saying that both parties are out of touch with the American people? I think that's a sign that Congress lacks consensus (just like the American people, btw).

Of course not. Anyone who consistently votes a straight ticket is either pre-programmed or damned lucky that the particular party they're voting for ALWAYS agrees with their position on the majority of issues - which is very unlikely.

A highschool teacher told me once that he votes on the candidate and not the party. He just picks the best out of each wit out regard of their political party. This is a good method of seeing things. Also, sometimes both candidates are a bunch of retards and one must see wich one is worse and vote for the other one.

Actually, its a basic part of the democratic process.
If every time you participated in a democratic vote you undermined the process when you lost, you would not have any democracy.
When we agree to participate in a democracy, we are agreeing to abide by the vote.
Those who do not understand that do not deserve to vote, anymore than I would play a board game with someone who threw a fit every time it looked like they were losing.

Anyone who identifies with a political party at all probably isn't a very deep thinker, or at least hasn't thought about very many issues.

Not at all. We need to vote for an independent this time around and send a strong message to the dems and repubs. If you want to see them start listening to us, vote independent!

The irony of your question, is that you are really just asking people to agree with you...not enaged in meaningful dialogue, thus anyone who agrees with you is probably not a free thinker.
