Can you explain total disk space and also non redundent data disk space? Thank you.

Raid-5 uses at least one disk as a redundunt data space. So this disk does not come into the actual usable storage space.

500GB disk with formatting overhead will usually result in 450GB of usable space. You have 4 of these to write to. So, your total space will be 1.8TB. If one of your disks fail, the fifth disk, along with others will provide sufficient information to rebuild the lost disk.

you should get about 1.5 Terabytes (1500GB).
