Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. These are the non-US coalition forces in Iraq. They are all true allies who realize the seriousness of the Islamic radicals' threats to all civilized nations. Other allies include Canada, Mexico, and numerous other democratic countries.
I would not slight any of these countries by picking a "best" ally.

The "Best Allies" of the US are its OWN people. They collectively have the power to heal this great country from its heinous wounds more than anyone else.
If this government is going to call itself a democracy, then a national referendum makes consummate good sense, and it is time to sound the call to arms to protest the loss of jobs, the treasonous actions of the leadership, the illegal conduct of foreign wars not in the national interest, the misuse of the military, the intrusion into the private lives of citizens, the threats to disarm the population and the unconstitutional buildup of a massive federal government.
Power to the great people of the US. Ally with your country by NEVER ALLOWING what is happening now to EVER occur again. Restore peace and dignity to this country.

The UK. Most likely because we share some very serious history.We're like family. My guess on who likes us the least would be Saudi Arabia(maybe even steven with the Iraqi citizens). The Saudi Royals tolerate us because of the $. The Saudi people want our non-Muslim boots off Saudi soil. Pray for our country, and those nut case Muslims too. Were Global baby and we gotta get along or we're all gonna fry. God bless

Canada
-----------------
-We are the worlds largest trading partners
Canada America Free Trade Agreement that removes taxes on the goods trded
-We share the responsibility for protecting North America
Most notably is that of NORAD
They have supported us in most of our conflicts
There are how ever, negatives. We don't always see eye to eye on things. There are problems regarding immigration, prescription drugs, our use of force in other countrys, and our foreign policy. Despite this tho, we have a good relationship and they are one of our best allies
Great Britain
---------------------
- We share a lot with them, culture, military assets, trade
- One of the few countries that have "had our backs" in most of the recent conflicts going back to WWI.
Germany
---------------------
- We are their largest trading partner(import ~50% of their exports)
- We have a huge of capital invested in them, as do they in ours.
- Our educational cooperation is very good, we work side by side in many, many fields of scientific studies and together have produced many great discoveries.
- Militarily they have been our biggest supporter on The War On Terror, not to be confused with the War on Iraq(Which are 2 distinct things, though it's being told as if its one to keep up support). They do not agree with our policy when it comes to the Iraq war, though.

Canada & the United Kingdom, Israel, Australia. Because we could count on them to come to our aid as we have done for them, except for Canada, they don't need any help, never really have but they have always stood by us as we would stand by them. I could say France, but they don't seem to like us much anymore, since they haven't been invaded lately.

i am sure the fascists at yahoo answers will take me down for this response, but it is an honest response;
we have no "best" ally; bush has alienated every nation in the world; and sold the U.S.A. to China and now he is trying to give them access to all our defense computers and weapons systems thru the pentagon defense department software;
i guess you would probably be best served to learn as many chinese dialects as possible because in another year this country could belong lock stock and barrell to china; and every american or so called american who shops at wal mart is as guilty as bush.
thanks for considering this.
