picnic in a park, pack a cooler, maybe some wine and find a good place to enjoy a view, like Valley Forge or across the river at Washintons crossing..take a long day trip to th eJersey shore if the day is good, and walk on the Boardwalks
there is some much to do in that area,I use to live in North Jersey, and always stayed away from dinner and a movie...girls usually like someone who puts some thought into a day, even if it winds up not being a perfect day, they still usually appreciate it, if she doesnt she probably isnt worth it

I enjoy a movie with a late dinner, but if you don't you should ask your date for her input. My date has taken me to art galleries, concerts, golfing, bowling, pool, etc. It's all good.
