Believe it or not I would like to spend a thousand dollars on a stranger because (assuming I knew what they wanted) it would be so much fun! Spending 100 bucks on me isn't that unusual.

well, the question sounds like it has a right answer and that if i put 100 dollars on myself, i will not have a chance at best answer. put o well.i would spend the 100 on myself because that stranger probably wouldn't appreciate it and won't need it. =P

I would spend the $1,000 buying totally useless crap for a complete stranger.
Then they could return said crap for cash and we'd split the take 50/50.
Then I'd be up an additional $400!

depends on who the stranger is. If its someone thats well off, then $100 goes to me, but if the money would go to someone who really could use it, then $1000.00 to that person.
