Is it actually bad to have a lot of money. I am talking about a little over a million. Can having all of that actually make a person sad? Is it even worse when you inherit all of that?

No, I don't think so. It all depends on how you spend that money. As long as you don't let the money change who you are as a person, or your morals and values, then I don't see a problem. Just remember money can never buy happiness.

having lots of money is not bad, but its depending on how you spend it. Some people wish they had lots of money coz they think it will make them happy...but that never happens. Money only make you happy for a little while you eventaully get bored. but like i said it depends on how you spend it don't take advantage.
but a smart person who did have or inherited just over a million
number 1 buy a house and your parents
put some away for your kids for when they are older if there is too much money left over give a little to a charity if you want. there are kids out there less fortunate do u understand its all how you spend the money so no its not bad but yes it does make people sad life isn't exciteing when yougot everything you want
i hope this answers your question

People think that they will be happy with a million...in all actuality it doesn't buy you happiness. Money is the root of all evil, makes people greedy and splurge on things that you don't really need to live. If one were to inherit a large sum of money, I don't think it would be any different. IF that person that did inherit the money, and had some financial difficulties, I would be safe to assume that this would help to pay off their debts.

When people go from dead broke to getting a million it does change them. They usually go crazy and spend it in no time. Then when the money is gone they can't pay their taxes!
I think it would be different if they had a comfortable life style before receiving the money

there is no such thing as having to much money and no having money has not changed me but it has changed people around me the problem being well to do is that everyone wants a piece of your pie for nothing I am a hole lot happier now than when I was poor money has bought me happiness because I don't half to worry about anything because my royalties will keep coming in and any one who would say that money dose not buy happiness has never been well to do and don't know what they are saying

No. . .if it is used wisely it is okay. In today's world, a million is nothing compared to what it would have been worth in the 1800s. I do recall Andrew Carnegie saying he would rather his children inherit curses than his forturne by his "Gospel of Wealth" essay, but Carnegie was not the average man. He was a multi-millionaire back in the late-19th century.

after you paid off all of your debt bought a new house and new car and furnished your new house then you would be broke and have to start working again. so that is not a lot of money by today's standards. but i have noticed that the more money i make the more in debt i get. i don't want to be rich i just want be able to live debt free. have enough money to buy what i need and a few luxuries nothing more.

It can be a bad thing. I saw some show on E! about lottery winners that went overboard with the spending. Some guy went broke because of excess spending and someone else got too into drugs.

Maybe if you don't have nothing on your mind, none to spend that with, you could get sad at some point

Easy money is nice but (my opinion) it feels better when you earn it, or when you had it already for some purpose.

Money is not bad. The love of money to the point that you make it your God is bad. Money is only a tool. It can be used for good or for bad.
