You answered your own question.
You can't find your way in the dark ..BECAUSE you don't know where you're going.

illustration :
a blind man can easily navigate his room. Why ? Not due to lightness or darkness, but because he knows where everything is and WHERE HE'S GOING.
If you gain understanding of the world around you and where you want to go (goal).. then you won't be lost.

We have to be our own light on the path. Ask yourself the questions, "What is it that I wanted to do with my life when I was a child?" "How did I lose that dream?" "Who stole it from me?" Is there a way you can still go in that direction - maybe not exactly, but in a similar way. For example ... I spoke to an elderly woman a while ago who said she'd always wanted to be a teacher, but her father was in an accident and she had to quit school early and go to work to help support the family. She was always sorry that she never became a teacher. What she discovered in our conversation was that she was teaching now, in a different way ... teaching other people how to quilt. She saw her way out of the dark she'd been in for years.

Great Grandma hit it perfectly! With banged up toes and bumps on my head I move on using every other sense God has given me. I am not totally night blind, but, I don't do as well as others. My family seems to hate night lites so I stumble over cats, laundry that was just dropped, little toys with sharp edges, seems like a booby trapped house. If I don't know where I am going, I still would say that there would be movement on my part. To stand still would require a faith in someone besides myself to save me from the darkness. I have faith in two people and I am one of them. So off I would stagger, in search of the light. Or escape.

If you don't know where you are going then that is your way, blind faith.

I took a friend down that path once and in trusting me she found her way, but then again, she screamed first. It was hysterical.

There were people at the other end of the darkness wondering what was going on.

I guess I have that problem in life causing women to wake up the neighborhood every now and then.

But your answer is "blind faith".

You reach out with your heart and hands. Look up, the moon is shining. Sometimes it's not as dark as it appears...

Stop, look and listen, you will be amazed at what your 6th sense will pick up if you give it time to acess the situation. This is true in the physical and spiritual realm.
