We were suposed to be exposed to the finer things in life and it was Opera? It was a bunch of fat people screaming at each other and it was horrible.
Does anyone actually like that stuff?

Dear heart, I think in this instance...it has to do w/
1) your personal taste & 2) the Opera you saw.
I say this cuz I like Opera, but not every single 1.
Try another 1; do a lil' research, find 1 w/ a storyline,
that's more suitable to your liking.
Then go see it.
If you still don't like it, you don't like it.
The 1st time I tried Lobster, I Didn't like it AT ALL!
(btw, LOVE seafood)
It was either the way it was prepared,
or the way the chef cooked it, whatever,
I tried it again; and I love It!!
{ w/ a Mango Salsa is fantablous,
(that's fantastic & fabulous squished together) }

If you have the chance, see Madame Butterfly or La Boheme. It may not make you fall in love with opera, but give you a better understanding of the emotion involved!

It's a beautiful art form from Italy/Sicily. Even though I don't understand it, I think it's great. To each his own. You wouldn't catch ME at a rap concert for example.

its an art, and the fat people probably don't like the same things you do, so don't pass a judgment on their art, and hope that they would respect you enough to do the same
