Good Q!
Educate ourselves first of all. Find out more information about the aids that are already in place. I'd love to go and visit some Third World Countries! If I had enough money, I'd pay to dig wells. Water is a huge necessity. Maybe I could get together some funding or put money together with others! Start a revolution; get the attention of the public!!

as a government, you can trade more with poorer countries and lower the tarrifs you impose on them. as an individual, you could take up a job in development, give to worthwhile charities such as Oxfam which genuinely does a lot for people. you could help to raise awareness about the plight of people in the third world by telling your friends/colleagues etc. if you're asking the question, chances are you are contributing in some way, even if by creating the atmosphere of thought. so well done!
