My wife's dad, I think. She misses him so much. They were very close and it broke my heart to see the pain she went through when it happened. It was very unexpected. It's been over five years now and every year, as veterans' day approaches, I know she's going to be depressed for about a week thinking about it. And I know there's nothing I can do to help. I am grateful for one thing, though: that she'll always know that her last words to him were, "I love you, Daddy."

My great grandma.

I think some people may be glad she's gone but she's the person I've always idolized and looked up to. She made me who I am today.

The last few years of her life I don't feel like I was as good as a great grand daughter as I should have been but she knew I was a teen and had "better things to do" than hang out with her. Now I'm in my 20's and I wish I hadn't been such a biotch typical teenager.

I wouldn't bring her back just because I feel "guilty" though because that's a pathetic excuse.
She had so much to teach me and cancer took her life. She didn't get to finish teaching my piano or painting. Also she paid for my college (which I'm in right now) and I'd love for her to see me graduate in 2009 and I know she'd be so proud of me for getting straight A's. I just wish she was here to share my happiness.

5 years ago tomorrow. :'(
You'd think it gets easier but it hurts the same every day...

My baby sister, who died at birth. I always wanted a sister. *sigh* I was 12 when she was brought into this world just to be taken from us. I remember following my mom through the pregnancy, looking forward to my baby brother or sister to be born. I still remember the day my mom went into labor. I also remember being in class and hearing my name being called over the intercom to come to the office, then being told by my dad that my baby sister was dead. *even now its hard to keep the tears back* I would have been a good big sister I think. Maybe having a baby sister would have made me a better parent, a better person. But then, who knows?

My stillborn daughter, Josie. She never got a chance at life...and I never got to see her eyes. She was so beautiful and peaceful-looked just like she was sleeping. She'd be 4 now and my 2 yr old would have a big sister to play with.

My dad! While there are many more famous and more world saving humans that have passed away, he was my one and only true supporter that I could count on. My rock. It is a selfish answer, but an honest one.

Why?
