I have concerns for both systems. The ps3 definatly has more power and stability which is huge. Plus the wifi and free online are all big sellers. It is also cheaper given all the add ons. The only thing is I am not a Metal Gear fan and thats why most people want it. The Xbox 360 definatly has the games I want,and I heard Xbox live blows Ps3 out of the water, but its failure rate is a disaster. It is also more exspensive for what I would be doing. $350 (system) $50 (online) $100(wifi) $20(charge kit). I am also not sure how much longer this machine will be invested in. xbox was abandonded after 4 years, so how much longer will this machine go for? What would you guys reccomend

yo i had this problem i decide xbox 360 first of all games are better and there are more PS3 heck only has 10 games..LIVE might cost a littlle but its worth it if u like online play and compettition.xbox was abandon witch was weak but they had to to get 360 more sales..good thing about 360 is that there's already goood games and only real competition is GTA which is now comin out for 360 to so i see no game competition till maybe 09 or so but buy then u should be setted with a 360 ps3 will come out with games eventually but 360 will counter either its win win situatiion..but go wit 360....so other then that there is no solid game for PS3 too date..get halo 3 play on live u be addicted immediately..

I don't understand why you felt that xbox was abandoned only after 4 years? that's the way technology goes, you release a platform, and then improve and when the next stuff comes, it usually makes the previous one obsolete.
In Mexico the Xbox 360 is waaaay cheaper than PS3, at least for now, but I think that both consoles are going to level out sometime.
If you find that the Xbox has the games you want, that's the way you should go. Mainly, it's the games that important, not just the console.
Consider that the PS2 still had some great games even when it was nowhere as powerfull as the Xbox. Now I think that the PS3 is more powerfull than the Xbox 360, probably because it was released later than the Xbox.

i own both machines and both are truly gr8.. it all depends on what games u like.. there are a few games that are only launched on the ps3 and not x-box and the other way around. for graphics both are really amazing when it comes to HD gaming..in the online feature both systems actually process good but the x-box are more concentrated on the online feature where its slightly better but u gotta pay to play.. to tell u the truth im a ps fan but i bought the x-box for some good games that are nit available on the ps3.. man i reckon u should buy the 1st system u wanted from a long time then save up and buy the 2nd system if ur still not satisfied with what u have..

XBOX 360 now has games that arn't just PlayStation exclusive and also they have awesome games now such as Halo 3, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Bioshock and much much more!!! PlayStation 3 however, may leave XBOX in the dust again as there are more games coming out. PlayStation 3 has a Blu-Ray disc drive all in one package but with the 360 you have to buy the HD-DVD hardware separetly, yourself. I would have to go for PlayStation 3 as more great games are still to come :)

I say 360 because this new version of xbox was a HUGE upgrade from the first xbox. I think the new PS3 just have better graphics, and less games...

at this point in time the x box is the best bet for the best games, online components and functionality. The ps3 right now is slow to start, but once it has its stable of great games, and even better graphics and greater capacity for growth, it will blow the x box out of the water. But, both systems are bound to be redesigned, come with greater memory, or come bundled in with games for the holiday season or to boost sales, so I would say wait it out until you can get a ps3 simply for longevity, graphics, and potential for growth.

I would have to say that both machines are pretty great. However, I do believe the PS3 has better graphics. And hell, people said that the PS2 could launch a missile.... Now the PS3 can start Nuclear War!
