For me, it was a baby doll that my grandmother and grandfather gave me once when we went to visit them. I LOVED that doll...in fact, I still have it...somewhere... ;-)

When I was three I had osteomyelitis in my toe. I was in the hospital for a looonnggg time. It was naturally after my parents divorced and I never saw my dad except for his one visit to the hospital and he brought me a stuffed animal. I still have it.

I got a Patty Play Pal doll for Christmas when I was 6. The doll was nearly as tall as I was.

My granny gave me a boxed set of the little house on the prarie books and I read every one of them. I still have them. She gave them to me when I was like 10 or so and I loved to read-still do but who can find the times these days? *sigh*

A musical jewellery box. When you opened it a ballerina popped up and pirouetted to a song from Swan Lake. When ever I hear the music I think of the music box :)

Actually, it was one of the most unexpected ones.
It is the stub of a ticket a friend of mine got framed and gave it to me on my birthday.
It's of sentimental value, as we had a blast that night at this now disappeared night club. I don't know why he kept the stub of the valet parking service ticket. It was my car we were driving that night, btw.
Weeks later, on my birthday party, he gave it to me.
Still got it hanging on the wall of my den.
Everytime, I see it I can't help laughing.

i got an opsie-daisy doll. it was the best ever! it is a doll that crawls and falls on it's belly and starts crying!

just kidding, that is the best gift I remember recieving. The first gift that I remember recieving is a puzzle from santa. ugh, it was ugly.

A pair of cow boy boots. I as my Dad if I could have a pair just like his so I could walk as fast as he could.
