how can you tell if somebody is reading your mind without you knowing it?

You can't know, but you can do mental exercises to block them from reading your mind.
Imagine a protective shield surrounding your body, no one can get in to harm you, no thoughts can get out. Imagine a helmet over the top of your head, blocking the exit of personal information. Might sound silly, but it works. Of course, other people will think of you as close minded and snobby, but thats the effect on your aura when you block others out.

Calm down. People can't read other people's mind. However, a spouse can know you so well, they probably know what you are thinking. Not, because they read your mind though. My husband knows when I am ready to leave a place and go home without my saying a word. I know my SIL pretty well and I can tell when someone makes her mad, even though she keeps on smiling. Familiarity, nothing more.

First you get an odd sensation in your head. Next, you can feel your thoughts going out your right ear. Then you feel like your brain is a book, that is the way you know for sure that someone is reading your mind ;

it depends on how they read your mind. like in heroes, the guy just hears you. and in a book series i read, the girl sorts through your thoughts, and sometimes she puts them in the front. so maybe a headache or you just suddenly think about your mom.. xP for the heroes one, just yell GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
