I need help, Im a Bi-Sexual. i really want to tell my parents because they think im gay. It's weird because i know im not gay, but i do get turned on by guys and girls. My parents arnt really the liberal. Mostly my dad. I dont know how to tell them, but i am tired of keeping it in and hiding it. The weird this is, is that i hate myself for being Bi, if there was a way to turn hetro, i would do anyting for it; but i know there is no possible way without killing another part of you, to turn hetro. So what I am really asking is, is it worth it to tell my parents and how should I brin g it up?

If they already think you're gay, just tell them the truth - tell them you're bisexual. It obviously isn't going to be a shock to them either way.

Glinda is a dip...no offense to Glinda. As someone who is neither gay nor bi, how would she even have a clue? My parents thought I was gay in high school, although I am attracted to both genders. It was never spoke of in my household, but I came out and openly admitted my preferences when I was in my mid-20's. As I've gotten older, my tastes have tapered off towards the mostly female end, but I have no aversions to having a male "friend." This may be due to a higher level of testosterone from weight lifting, although I'm just guessing. The best suggestion came from the poster above...why does it matter? Does it come up in conversations? If they ask, tell them, otherwise, who cares other than you?

If you want to tell them, then tell them. Keep in mind that being bisexual is generally regarded as VERY DANGEROUS. Bisexuality is commonly equated with promiscuity. (While that is not correct, that's what most believe.) One way to bring it up is to ask your Mom's advice for getting a date with a particular girl, etc. There are a billion ways you can bring it up. Just be careful with yourself. This is a VERY stressful thing for you, whether you realize it or not.

If you really feel the need to tell them, then go for it. But you might just be going through a stage right now. You might be a little comfused about your sexualilty.
My advice is focus on self for a while

Do they really need to know? Is your sex life an important part of your conversations with them? I'm not sure why they need to know what you do in bed with someone else. You unloading a burden in your mind may only increase a burden in their's. I'm not sure that's fair.

Bi...what a crock of chit..for a dude. How old are you 12? why not wait til your sure of what you want. My son is gay, I know when he comes home he will be bringing a guy, I am okay with that, why confuse the family? Wait til you make up your mind.
