At 13, the chances of cancer are VERY slim. If these "large lumps" are all over the breast matter and in both breasts, then they are most likely just your mammary glands (which will produce milk when you have a baby).
If you are EVER in doubt about a lump in your breast, then do NOT hesitate to see your doctor.

Only 5% of all breast cancers occur in women under 40 years. It is not advised that any women need to check their breasts below the age of 20 years when only self examination is suggested. I am more concerned that you are so unusually anxious about breast cancer at your young age. Is there any particular reason for this? Do you for example have a strong family history. If you have perhaps in a few years time it might be reasonable to look at risk counselling, also there is some interest at the moment in women with a significant risk taking anti-cancer drugs, like Tamoxifen, as a possible way of reducing risk. I must stress this is currently at research level only and also it would not yet be appropriate to consider these options in one so young. If you have no family history it is not at all logical or sensible for you to have these concerns at your present age.

It's highly unlikely that you have breast cancer. You do however need to see a doctor to find out exactly what's going on. Where are you in the puberty thing? What you may have are breast buds... they grow prior to the actual breast tissue and they are sort of like what you are describing. But this aside, without seeing you it's difficult to say what's going on.

Sounds like you'll be havin' a period in the near future. Lumps and bumps on boobs are usually caused by hormones. I use to get em, along with soreness alot. I started taking Vit. E. and no more lumps, no more pain. Tell mom regardless. You shouldn't keep secrets that really bother you from mom.

It's not cancer. I can guarantee. I have the same problem. I have large bumps in my breast, but it's normal. It's puberty. It's so rare for a girl to get breast cancer at the teenage years. I'm telling you, there's nothing to worry about. :) Good luck!

I understand that you are scared, and many of these people are telling you to just over look it, but you shouldn't. It is o.k to tell your mom, and have her help you out. When I was 14, I myself felt that I had a small lump next to my knee cap. But just thought it was my bone, and never thought twice about it. Then about 2 months later, I decided to tell my mom.. just in case. next thing I know, I was at the doctor, then a specialist, then getting x-rays, and then under the knife. I was barely 14 years old, and had a tumor removed from my leg. If I had not found it in time, it would of severely damaged the muscle in my leg, because it was causing the muscle to tear. So.. I'm sorry for all of you people who are telling her to forget, but.. She shouldn't cause.. anything is possible, and it is better to find out it is nothing.. Then to put it off.. and find out that it is actually something..

It's HIGHLY unlikely you have breast cancer at age 13.
More likely, it's just hormonal changes from puberty, your period and other growing things.
Talk to your mom if you're really really scared.

It's is more than likely fibrous breast tissue or lumpy breast syndrome - quite common and can be painfull, but the best thing is if you have any concerns about your health is to be examined by a good doctor even if it is for reassurance.

Sometimes you just feel bumps when you are having your period. Put your arm over your head and lay down and gently use three fingers to search around your breast.
YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY SEE A DOCTOR!
It does not matter what age you are or small your breast are.
I wish you great luck.

Go and see a doctor to find out for sure, and go as soon as possible. Always keep a positive outlook! I think there is a much better chance of it being benign then cancerous.
