Most other fish are fine with Bettas, but Paradise Fish have lovely long fins that may provoke an attack from the Betta (or even attempts to breed from the close cousins). If you want some fish to go with your Betta, consider Cory Cats, Otos, small Tetras (Neon, Cardinal, Phantom, Lemon, Bleeding Heart, Head and Tail Light, or Lampeye), peaceful Barbs (Cherry, Rosy, or Golden), Rasboras, or Kuhli Loaches.
