No. PC speech has taken its place and butchered the first amendment. You can say what you want, but then you'll be attacked.

It is pretty hard to say if there is freedom of speech in this country anymore. I guess it depends on who you are and what you are saying which give you the right to be heard and the right to say it in the first place. This was one right which separated us from the rest of the world or most of it that any individual would have the right to stand up for what he or she believed in and not to be censored, persecuted or killed for it. If you look back at all the totalitarianistic empires whether it be Rome, Holy Roman Empire , the Mongols, Nazi Germany Communist USSR etc the one thing and the first thing you have to control is someone to speak out against you and what you believe . If they cant be controlled, then we will discriminate, persecute, humiliate and if necessary kill to do away with opposition. I believe there is a freedom of speech in this country but it must be expanded to include the right of all people to receive it and not only the select few just because they are kosher to our way of political, religious, social and economic thinking . I believe there is still a freedom of speech because if there was not , the oppression persecution ,discrimination etc would be far worse than it is today. But we must improve to get back on the right track. Without freedom of speech the other amendments to our Constitution and all other freedoms are meaningless or our shadows of a reality that was forsaken and taken away especially from those who needed it the most.

hell no if there was then being told to shut the f%$@% up would hold no power saying what we want about the prez or to the prez wouldn't get us arrested if true freedom of speech help any power the black people and woman would of had a better chance at life and it would of leveled the playing field these past 150 yrs

Yes. Any speech is aceppted as long as it does not affect on an another persons right of freedom

No, and I never thought there was to begin with because you always have to worry what people say.Think about it if someone doesn't agree with what you say, they'll start criticizing you and what you say. But that's personally how I feel though, I know some people will feel differently than I do!!!

well, dependz. @ skool, nope. and even if u don't go 2 skool, u don't exactly have the freedom 2 say wut u want becuz then otherz will start attacking u.
