I think it was 2 or 3 thousand years or so. Christianity squashed it with true meaning instead of make believe stories of heroes and monsters.

The Greek and Roman religions still exist right along with the Hebrew, Christian, and Muslim religions. As does the Norse, Native American and Polynesian Religions and the many religions of India and the far East.

For most of their existence, but the Romans adopted the Greek beliefs early on.

IT was their religion, not their mythology. How long have you believed in your mythology?? They believed it until the romans invented christianity to unify their empire. Though not what the die-hard bible thumpers would say.
