my mom made me drop out of school when i was 15. im 16 and i now have my G.E.D. and im almost done with my drivers ed course. i now live with my dad who works full time, and i will be enrolling in college in a couple of months. i will be paying for school by myself, but i had to quit my job because i dont have a ride to work. i wont be able to pay for school unless i have a job. and i wont be able to get to and from work and school because i have no one that could take me. school is very important to me and i will be devestated if i cant go....given the circumstances...would i qualify for a hardship liscense?

This varies by state, and since we don't know where you live, we can't give you a very good answer. Here, anyone can drive at 16, but I assume that isn't the case in your state. If you can't get a license, see what you can do about getting a ride from someone in your classes, assuming there isn't any public transportation in your area.

it depends on what state you live in. contact your local DMV to find out what the criteria are.

another place that might be able to help is the program you got your GED through. They may have people on staff that can connect you to resources or may even know the answer.

Wow. I'm sorry for your hard time.

I don't know much about that, but I would assume you could. If not, you would definatly be accepted for student loans and grants.
