Sometimes when it wont start there is no fuel pressure. If you hit the tank the pressure goes up and it starts, but still has no accel power. Will the fuel pump cause it to have no power but still run? It has about 60 lbs of pressure.Any help would be great! Thanks

Seen this a few times. You need a new fuel pump. When you hit the tank you are jiggling the brushes that contact the armature. You have worn brushes or a bad spot on the armature. Only repair is replace the pump. Its also possible that a plugged fuel filter accelerated the pump failure. Plugged filters make the tiny electric pump motor work very hard. A fuel pressure test will show 60 psi but does it have 60 psi when accelerating? This is where you will verify a plugged filter.

It sounds like you may have a few problems. the first thing that came to mind was the EGR valve. Alot of times Blazers small chunks of carbon get lodged in the valve and keep it open. This often times causes a decrease in power, however it is not something that comes and goes. You could have a weak fuel pump, voltage problems, sediment in the tank, clogged injectors, etc. The first thing I would do is have the injectors cleaned and EGR cleaned. This is because its cheap, especially if your handy and go from there.
