When we speak to God its okay!!!!!
But if we claim God has spoke to us we're carted off to the nearest mental institution....Err food for thought :)

think because so many people abuse this. They say God spoke to them and then they do something evil or crazy. People can get confused so easily when these voices come in their heads.
I must admit I to am weary of any body who tells me that God personally spoke to them even though I am a believer.
I prefer to use the term God spoke to my heart.

There are so many people who claim this that they had no room in the mental institutions, that's why they built separate asylums and called the patients "nuns or priests"

That is a brilliant question and very true they said David Ike was mad but he said he was God not he had spoken to him. But we all have beliefs and should be allowed to exercise the right to be able to speak up.

God speaks to us through His Word. He doesn't yell from heaven. That's what they can't see. We pray about something & He answers the prayer & therefore He spoke through His actions. Sometimes I'm troubled about something, and that morning during my morning Bible reading, the portion of scripture I had planned for that day happens to speak about the very thing I'm troubled about. That's God speaking to us.

IDK....I have never thought that before.. But I guess that -
People are, I think speaking to God because they want to believe he is real.. I think a lot of people don't truly believe in him though, so when someone claims that God has spoken to them, people think that they are crazy because he is not actually real....thats what I think anyway...........

When i go to bed i say a prayer to God. If anyone and that includes animals, i ask him to help us. If you can perform miracles then its okay otherwise i'd keep quiet.
Listen, i got a sore throat, swollen glands. Can you heal me and i won;t say anything unless i wake up tomorrow and feel better.

That is a tricky question. i don't believe God answers us audibly. I believe he speaks to us through His word and through our conscience. But if He does speak to us through our conscience we have to test the spirits. Meaning search it out through His word. For instance God is not going to tell you to jump off a building because the bible says suicide is wrong.
