I mean something that has effected you personally. If you don't call overseas to suspected terrorists you can't include the overseas calls survailence program (which was authorized by congress and not Bush anyway). For me the only right I have lost was the ability to smoke in public but there again Bush didn't take that away either, some bleeding heart Lib in my state government did. So I fail to see what people are talking about when they say Bush stole their rights.

Oh and PLEASE don't give me the tired "slippery slope" crap. The slope was already well lubricated when you took my smokes away.

If you're not communicating with the enemy overseas he has taken NO rights from ANY American!!...Unlike the dems who are CONSTANTLY trying to take my right to own a gun...My right of free speech with the fairness doctrine that they try to sneak in legislation....they attack private citizens such as Rush Limbaugh and try to destroy him...yeah, YOUR senators, who are a servant to US...is trying to destroy a private citizen because that private citizen puts a spot light on their hypocrisy....the dems in congress are forever attacking our rights and not ONE of you libs say a thing about it....all you can do is spout the mindless talking points.....bush is destroying the Constitution....bush lied...its all for oil....mindless, childlike, simpleton sayings......way to go libs.

the "federal unlawful gambling act" was instituted by bush. i love to play poker on line, and bush made it nearly impossible for me to deposit money onto my account so i can play. now, a night here and a night there is more boring than it should be because bush wants to stop me from playing texas hold 'em on line. it's a blatant urination on freedom, and i will not forget it.
i'm sorry, at some point they changed the name of it. now it's "the unlawful gambling enforcment act of 2006".

Hmm how about unauthorized government wiretaps.
That is a right. Everyone who lives in the United States has their phone tapped thanks to the patriot act.
Constitutional amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
You could easily see papers meaning telephone conversations.
Also about your smokes in Most areas of the country you can still smoke in Public, just not in areas that would be a nuisance.
Smoking is OK in parks, but not in a public Restaurant or subway, or libraries, and other government buildings.

The right to be told the truth by my government. The right to not have my tax dollars used to prop up an expensive and unnecessary foreign war that is just creating more terrorists and using up American money and American lives. The right to treat my loved ones for diseases like Parkinson's and Alzhemiers with stem cells. The right to be secure that my government can't spy on me without a really compelling reason. The right to keep my job and not get it shipped to India.

I would say he has hopefully stolen the right held by me to be blown up by a half brained fanatic, at least, I hope he took that right from me cuz that was one right I never really was interested in : (
Oh yeah, and he allowed Echelon to continue even though it wasn't his idea in the first place! duhhuhauhuhuhuhuuuuu......uh
BTW In Illionis the Dems reign supreme and they have made smoking in public places illegal, taxed the smokes, and banned TRANSFAT! but that wasn't bush so it's besides the point...duhuhuhuuuu!

there is a quote by Martin Niemöller:
In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;
And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up."
