I have a broken volkswagen 1.9 L turbo engine. I need to know what direction (if your looking at the front) the output shaft turns in.

Clockwise if you facing the car front.

I believe it's clockwise you are talking about the harmonic balancer yes? Depending on how the belts go on will determine the direction of the rest of them

Don't think front back or sideways. Look at the main pulley (the one that drives all accessory belts) and it turns clockwise.

CCW...counter clock wise on th flywheel.
