I just contributed to Ron Paul's campaign. It's the first time I have ever given to a Presidential Candidate. I haven't even done the income tax thing and checked that block. It may be a gamble, but I believe our country is worth it. Things may be going a bit rough right now, but we'll get back on track with Ron Paul I think. Check him out! Go Ron Paul!

I was thinking about this myself.
Giving money to a Democrat is really just a primer, a lube for the shute the rest of your money will follow down.
Giving money to Ron Paul is really more of a gamble, I can offer 100 dollars that may in the future end up saving me thousands, tens of thousands, and make this country much more prosperous.

You don't win anything. By contributing money to a pres candidate, you help them advertise, which in turn can cause them to become pres. So if you really want a certain president, if you donate to them, they are more likely to win. (this is of course different when you start to contribute huge sums of money, as the candidate will favor your cause after they become president, to insure that you offer them money when they run again.)

If you contribute to the Presidential candidate of your choice and they win, that IS your reward. Having a President that you believe will improve our country. If you expect any reward beyond that, hold on to your money!

You need to meet with the candidate beforehand and negotiate this.
How much do you think you would have to contribute? $2 million ? Do you have it?
